Mid-September 2015 the foundation sent a reconnaissance mission to Leros, to take stock of the needs and to encourage and support the volunteers working there for other organisations. In the meantime new volunteers have followed up on this. Currently we mainly concentrate on the camp in which we provide breakfast and help in the cleaning of the terrain, the villa (Artemis) in which women and children can spend the night and the apartment in which supplies are being stored for sorting and distribution. Unlike on the other islands, large ships arrive on Leros because refugees are coming from other islands and are being transported to Leros by the Greek coast guard. Sometimes these are hundreds of refugees at once. We co-operate closely with other organisations.

The need is high! Will you help us, so we can continue helping these people in need?

  • Volunteers

Our foundation supports volunteers travelling to Leros, prepares them and brings them in contact with each other. We also provided after-care once they get home. Would you like to help? Please visit our page for volunteers!

  • Co-operation

We have a good working relationship with Loket Leros, Leros Solidarity, UNHCR and Doctors without Borders.
