When Amina*, a 21-year-old woman from the Horn of Africa, arrived on the Greek islands in late 2024, she carried little more than a small bag and a heart full of courage. Despite the uncertainty she faces, Amina’s kindness quickly became a light for others.
These cold months are especially hard for people on the move. Yet, again and again, we witness extraordinary resilience, hope, and humanity. Stories like Amina’s remind us that even in the most difficult circumstances, light finds a way to shine.
